The Bendigo TAFE Health and Community Centre of Excellence project was designed to create vibrant and technology-rich learning spaces that shape a strong identity of excellence, enhance industry connections, and provide innovative and tailored educational environments for specialist health and community services programs.
Our team worked with Bendigo Kangan Institute to transform the existing Building P, replacing the bricks with a contemporary glass facade that provides enhanced natural light and aids productivity and wellbeing for students, lecturers, staff and visitors. The design features an integrated approach to natural light, ventilation and landscaping to create an enjoyable and sustainable place to work and learn.
The learning environment brings together current approaches to pedagogy, healthcare and technology, including virtual labs where projected images simulate different learning scenarios recreating environments and situations they’ll be working in when they enter the workforce. The design features adaptable learning spaces including mobile AV terminals and learning environments with operable walls enabling spaces to be adapted depending on class sizes and changing course needs over time.
This significant redevelopment shape a vibrant sense of place and community, providing a transparent, engaging interface with the street that celebrates the activity and learning within.
