ClarkeHopkinsClarke Partner Dean Landy’s new book, Creating Vibrant Communities, was officially launched last night at a stylish and insightful event held at Allpress Studio in Collingwood. Attended by 150+ guests from the government, commercial and design sectors, the launch featured a discussion panel led by author Dean Landy, as well as guest panelists including Mike Day from RobertsDay, Bec McHenry from The Space Agency, Phoebe Harrison from Planisphere and Ed Krushka from Stockland.
The publication is an idea, a network and a manifesto on how to deliver healthy, sustainable and liveable neighbourhoods. Creating Vibrant Communities sets out to shift the current industry discourse from what outcomes should be achieved when creating new places, to how people involved in creating new places can work smarter and more collaboratively to achieve them. The Creating Vibrant Communities book can be purchased online at creatingvibrantcommunities.org
In addition to the book, a new online learning and collaboration portal creatingvibrantcommunities.org was also launched, which will embody and enable the Creating Vibrant Communities ethos of building networks of relationships that enable collaborative problem solving.
