Atypical of many interior designers, Carmen’s core passion lies not in design per se, but in the arguably more essential skill of project management. Whilst her design sensibilities are hard to fault, it is her aptitude for keeping things on track, communicating with all stakeholders and delivering on project brief’s, that makes her an asset across complex commercial projects. 

A natural people person, Carmen is as passionate about servicing the needs of her clients as she is about creating positive experiences for the people who will ultimately be using the spaces she designs. 

Her relaxed and approachable nature belies her capabilities. Over the past 12 years she has amassed a wealth of experience, working across a truly diverse range of interior projects that span the health, aged care, community, retail, mixed-use, multi-residential and education sectors. She has been exposed to all phases of the design process and has built up a broad and comprehensive understanding of her discipline.

With a strong appreciation for spatial planning and materiality, Carmen’s end goal is always to create places that are both aesthetically pleasing and have a purpose. She achieves this by always asking why, questioning assumptions and carefully considering every requirement and recommendation.
