“Successful learning spaces encapsulate diverse cultures, ages, gender identities and sexualities. Everyone has the right to learn in an inspiring, engaging, comfortable and safe environment.”

Gabrielle is a well regarded all-rounder in our Education team. Her role spans briefing, design, client presentations, documentation, consultant coordination and contract administration. She joined CHC as an architectural undergraduate and worked across multiple sectors before finding her niche in educational design, where she feels driven to develop learning environments that directly improve learners’ lives.

Collaborative, friendly, process driven and organised, Gabrielle is passionate about meaningful stakeholder engagement for maximum impact. Through many years of consultation workshops with schools she has learned to collaborate closely with educators, learners and communities, engage them in the design process, and ensure their diverse voices are heard. She knows from personal experience this process creates spaces that respond directly to what matters most to each group.

Helping to shape the learning of future generations and their communities is a huge motivator for Gabrielle. But her design interests and talents extend beyond educational architecture. Freelance work as a theatrical set designer has allowed her to design small-scale interventions driven by a clear narrative. It’s a key element of design thinking, and informs her approach to developing educational design concepts too.
