“I love the responsibility of being a trusted advisor to business leaders. Someone they can rely on to help them understand what the numbers really mean, the assumptions, risks and opportunities behind them, and make sound decisions with confidence.”

Mark’s a bean counter with vision, heart and a passion for businesses that prioritise social equity. As Finance Operations Manager he’s focussed on the sustainability of our practice: operationally, financially and socially. He ensures we have the systems in place to deliver timely, reliable data to help our leadership team make informed commercial discussions. He’s immersed in budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management and manages our reporting, analysis, risk and compliance issues.

Mark started out as an accountant based on construction sites with a large national building contractor. His fascination with the construction industry has led him into larger and more complex commercial and finance roles, including with industry leaders like Lendlease on iconic projects such as Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital. Warm, empathetic and strategic, Mark makes numbers meaningful for everyone. (Even creatives who’d prefer to be designing than poring over spreadsheets.) He understands the pressures, challenges and economics of delivering large, complex projects in a fast-changing environment. His objectivity and future focus help him arm our Partners with the information and context required for robust decision-making, which sustains our business and builds our impact over the short, medium and long term.

Driven by a longstanding commitment to helping create a more equitable society, Mark works with businesses to create opportunities for disadvantaged and priority job seekers, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, youth at risk, refugees and asylum seekers, and uses progressive procurement initiatives to influence change.
