Michael Litton
Senior Architect, RAIA
BEnvironmental Design, MArch (University of WA)
“I’m driven to deliver more engaging, inspiring, joyful and sustainable learning environments.”
Michael brings a decade of diverse experience to his role as project architect in our Education team. He began his career in Perth and north-western Australia, and amassed five years’ experience on residential, hospitality and public art projects before moving to Melbourne and developing his speciality in educational design.
Prior to joining CHC he worked for four years on secondary and tertiary education projects and institutional facilities all over Australia for clients including CSIRO, Deakin University, La Trobe University, Yarra Ranges Council, University of Technology Sydney and Flinders University Adelaide.
He is experienced with 5-star Greenstar projects, complex SCEC requirements, PC/BC containment and ISO class 5-8 across multiple projects.
As a project architect, Michael is his clients’ primary point of contact. Engaging, detail oriented and a natural team player, he’s adept at managing stakeholder requirements and expectations, maintaining quality control on documentation sets, and overseeing internal project teams.
Michael’s a people person whose direction and encouragement helps keep teams motivated and on track. He has taken a lead role on numerous award-winning projects across the course of his career and is highly motivated to grow and develop as part of a team. At CHC he has quickly established himself as a do-er. He’s part of our in-house Indigenous Design Group, which is working to help our design teams build the skills, experience and relationships required to engage and collaborate meaningfully with traditional custodians on our projects.
