Senior Architect, RAIA
M.Arch, BED (Arch)
“I have a passion for good design. As an architect I want to create enriched environments for people through good design.”
Nicholas Simmonds has a talent for complex problem solving and found his match in the highly technical field of health design. In his role as Architect within ClarkeHopkinsClarke's health team, he contributes to the design and delivery of new specialist health facilities, major hospital redevelopment, and fit-outs.
Nicholas works on all phases of a project, from stakeholder consultation, concept development, and schematic design, through to documentation and on-site delivery. He is passionate about standards, sequencing, and quality, and as such, confidently takes on both a design role and project management role to guide the design and delivery to program and budget.
Never fazed by a challenge, Nicholas can get to the heart of a brief, and in turn, can clearly communicate the project vision. He has become a key contact point for clients, builders, and contractors. Likewise internally, his flair for design and eye for detail provides a link between the practice’s architecture and interior teams, creating continuity and efficiencies between both design streams.
With a thirst for knowledge and a natural ability to make the complex simple, Nicholas is a committed and resourceful designer who always goes to the next level.
