"I like to design buildings and places that promotes happiness and centre around occupants and users.”

Ronan Chee is a technically astute Senior Architect in our Health Sector. He’s an experienced project and team leader with a keen eye for design detail and technical solutions.

Ronan’s a flexible all-rounder who’s equally at home liaising with clients, consultants and project teams, documenting designs, overseeing QMS or resolving construction issues. A keen collaborator, he’s much appreciated by colleagues and clients for his teamwork, time management, problem-solving and documentation skills.

As a teenager in Malaysia he discovered architecture through a friend’s dad, whose 3D modelling and fly-through of a curved, cantilevered glass building was utterly unlike anything he’d seen before. It opened his eyes and his mind to the possibilities of design. Impressed, curious, and determined to explore architecture for himself, Ronan pursued a scholarship to study architecture in Tasmania. He later moved to Melbourne and expanded his skills and horizons further with a Masters in Urban Design.

Building for wellbeing is his driver. Ronan ensures our health designs go well beyond standards and technical requirements to create spaces and systems that maximise users’ comfort, motivation and happiness. He’s currently developing an integrated façade system that actively promotes healthier indoor environments.
