Trushar Chouhan

Senior Architect, RAIA

BScience (Arch), BArch

"My strength is understanding a design and holding onto its essence while making sure it works in terms of constructability."

Trushar’s varied experience, adaptability and calm, collaborative problem-solving are highly valued in a multi-sector practice like ours. He’s as comfortable working on seniors living & care developments as education and multi-residential projects, and brings a strong focus on constructability born of a decade’s experience in design documentation and project administration. Methodical and practical, Trushar’s a great interpreter of design for constructability who never loses sight of design intent. Clients love his unruffled, solutions-oriented approach to resolving problems collaboratively with a mix of diplomacy and critical thinking.

Trushar went to school in Kenya, studied architecture in NSW and WA, and worked in Perth and later Broome on diverse projects including aged care, education and public facilities as varied as sports centres and police counter-terrorism training facilities. In 2019 he relocated to Melbourne to join ClarkeHopkinsClarke, drawn by the opportunity to do more front-end work including masterplanning and townplanning, and by the teamwork he sees as a hallmark of the practice.
