We continue to work with Alfred Health on the expansion of their specialised health facilities at Alfred 549. It features a biophilic colour palette that evokes the earth, water and trees. By referencing nature, it intends to imbue the space with calm and instil wellness in end users.

Our process required close consultation, hosting regular workshops and developing custom prototypes of key design elements, such as patient and treatment rooms, that stakeholders could visit.

All of these works were designed to be undertaken in stages, in order to minimise the impact on the hospital’s operations. In step with Alfred Health and our partners Stuxture, our team developed careful strategies for decanting, infection control and occupational health and safety.
