This project aims to develop a multiscale campus that honours the historical significance and community-oriented mission of the BASScare. The masterplan envisions a diverse collection of homes that allow residents to safely age in place, within a campus environment that celebrates the unique character of Canterbury.
The design integrates the surrounding landscape, preserving the heritage of the Shrublands Estate while fostering a strong sense of community around a central heart. Facilities include 62 Independent Living Apartments, 5 Townhome Units and 45 RACF Beds.
The result will be a vibrant, inclusive space that supports the well-being and social connection of older adults, in alignment with BASScare’s mission to combat social isolation and enhance the lives of seniors in the community.
