This redevelopment and expansion of the existing Kilsyth Senior Citizens building and the Child Care Centre building delivered a new multi-purpose Living and Learning Centre, designed to reflect the values and identity of Council and the community. Working closely with diverse stakeholders including Shire of Yarra Ranges, Japara Neighbourhood House, Kilsyth Senior Citizens, Montrose Historical Society, and U3A Yarra Ranges, we were able to ensure that the project outcome supported their requirements and reflected a shared vision.
The new facility includes a resource and information centre, 27 place occasional day care centre, maternal child health centre, senior citizens facilities, community educational programs and activity spaces for community groups.
