The new multistorey DAT building collocates design, art, media, textiles and food technology within a dynamic, light filled environment. Spaces are designed around a central void promoting interdisciplinary connections between students and teachers to enhance their learning outcomes.
Adjacent to the DAT building is a new café style canteen and learning hub. An atrium walkway connects the two buildings and overlooks a courtyard used as a casual break out space.
Dots and lines used throughout the interior design, perforated materials and wayfinding represent the connection between disciplines and create a contrast to the curved architectural form and lighting.
