We have been working with Ringwood Secondary College since 2015 to revitalise the campus through staged, masterplanned works that support its transition to an adaptable, cohesive, learner-centred environment aligned with its pedagogical vision.
The initial stage delivered a new Junior School for the Year 7 & 8 student cohort, which was the first purpose-built general learning facility developed on the campus. The stand-alone building comprises 10 learning spaces with associated investigative areas, arranged across Ground, Mezzanine and Lower Ground levels. An activated central spine and gallery space, featuring tiered seating and circulation stairs, creates a dynamic, multi-dimensional environment that supports gatherings, movement, collaboration, learning and presentations.
Stage 2 delivered a new Senior School on a tightly sloping site, creating a contemporary and highly flexible young adult environment that provides senior students with greater agency and choice in their learning. The most recent stage will deliver a new two-storey STEM facility that supports the College’s innovative interdisciplinary approach. The building embodies STEM learning in both space and form, fostering curiosity, experimentation and discovery.
