A living response to an eclectic inner-city context
Located in a fast developing pocket of the sought-after suburban locale of South Yarra, this 9 storey residential development is set within an avenue of newly built residential buildings along Wilson and Ellis Street, just a stone's throw from Chapel Street and the Jam Factory. Comprising 26 one and two bedroom apartments with retail space on the ground floor, the development also features a shared roof terrace with views to the city and Albert Park Lake.
Our design approach for the apartment development is to respond to the eclectic aesthetic of the neighbourhood through articulating the form with a bold and strong language, softened by textures and green facade treatments.

History and geology have shaped Alexa’s distinctive architecture. It’s most pronounced and striking feature is the gold coloured metal screen that wraps the sixth level, forming a visual ‘top’ to the building, is inspired by the site’s connection to Melbourne’s gold rush era.
