Amos Matteri

Senior Project Leader

BA(Arch) Academy of Architecture Mendrisio, Switzerland, MA(Arch) Polytechnic University Milan, Italy

"Architecture is a discipline that helps create a better life."

Amos is a highly regarded Senior Project Leader in our Multi-Residential sector with broad international experience and enviable attention to detail at both the macro and micro level. Over more than five years at CHC his projects have ranged from boutique apartments to award-winning social housing for women and children leaving family violence.

Born into a family of builders in Italy, Amos brings to his role a deep
understanding of construction and the precision required for great project outcomes. He’s also adept at contract administration, liaising with clients and consultants and, not surprisingly, working closely with builders throughout the construction process.

Clients and builders comment on his responsiveness. A great listener, Amos relishes team environments and considers everyone’s opinion carefully. He’s a hands-on leader who enjoys involving everyone on the project team – from senior consultants through to graduates still learning the ropes.

Having lived in Europe, America and now Australia, Amos is acutely aware of history but firmly focused on the role of architecture in shaping a positive future. “Architecture is not just the building itself,” he says. “It represents everything that happens in our society. It evolves with technology, focusses on the present, and helps create the future”.
