Morris Moor won the 2024 UDIA Victoria Award for Excellence - Urban Renewal for its transformation of the iconic Philip Morris cigarette factory in Moorabbin into a community orientated mixed-use precinct.

Through highly sustainable adaptive reuse strategies, it has connected a heritage site of eight historic buildings across 62,700 sqm of land into an exemplar of contemporary placemaking, community activation and commercial development.

With stage one of its re-development complete, ClarkeHopkinsClarke was engaged for Stage 2 to masterplan, transform, design and deliver the remaining 70% of the site. To highlight and hero heritage elements of the original factory buildings and responding sensitively to an iconic site known loved by locals, CHC connected thoughtfully to Stage 1 amenities and introduced a considered mix of new uses and spaces to the precinct, successfully attracting tenants and community alike.
