Preston Place

A thriving creekside community that provides a strong connection to place and to each other

Location: Wurundjeri Country, Preston VIC
Status: In Planning

Preston Place is a thriving creekside community designed for families of all shapes and sizes. Centered around a shared ‘Backyard Park’, this new pocket neighbourhood celebrates community and supports the local ecology.

Underpinned by biophilic design principles, each home amplifies the connection to nature through robust, textural materials and verdant outlooks, creating a strong sense of home through a strong connection to place.

Crafted as a future-focused neighbourhood, the design places equal importance on environmental and social sustainability. Thoughtful orientation and planning deliver high levels of environmental performance achieving a 7-star NatHERS rating, net zero carbon emissions and no gas.

Landscaped by AKAS, Backyard Park provides a shared, central space for passive recreation, exercise, neighbourhood social events and community gardens to encourage connections between residents. Regenerative landscaping is woven throughout the neighbourhood and supports the local ecology.

At Preston Place our objective was to create architecture that supports human connection – within homes, at street level, throughout the neighbourhood and to the surrounding community.
