Reynor San Miguel

Senior Project Leader

BScienceArch (University of Santo Tomas, Philippines)

I apply common sense when working on complex design projects, seeking the most practical approach to achieve the desired intent.”

Reynor has more than two decades’ design expertise in Australia and internationally. Practical, multi-skilled and hands-on, he’s adept at construction documentation, sketch design drawings and details, Autocad and Revit. His extensive experience in residential architecture includes apartments, townhouses and award-winning affordable housing projects.

Meticulous in his attention to detail, Reynor is the quintessential behind-the-scenes person who supports the whole project team to ensure a successful outcome. Team orientated and no-fuss, he happily works side-by-side with every member of the project team, backing them every step of the way to achieve a job well done.

The son of a well known artist, Reynor is a keen artist himself. He started his design career in the Philippines and worked in Saudi Arabia and New Zealand before moving to Melbourne. At CHC he’s renowned for beginning the design process with beautiful hand drawn sketches – an old-school skill many post-digital era architects would love. He’s inspired by the elegant simplicity of Japanese architecture and aims for restrained design that’s straightforward to build and nails the client’s brief in the most direct way possible.
